Republican congressman Jason Lewis once lamented bring unable to call women "sluts" on his radio show, which ran from 2009-2014. He also said that young women only vote based on birth control, and that these women were not human beings and didn't have brains.
Meredith Vieira said she experienced sexism during her time with "60 Minutes" at CBS. “I think there was sexism, for sure,” Vieira told reporters. “I never was harassed per se, but it was difficult during that time, particularly at that show, to navigate your way as a woman who wasn’t following the party line.
Los Angeles band Cherry Glazerr called out the sexism they've experienced in the music industry, calling the persistent discrimination "outrageous" and "simply disgusting." They claim they are treated with "open hostility" and "ignored, hated" while touring on the road.
